Shears and crooks adorn the walls of this sumptuous Victorian building along with photographs of farmers and shepherds from an era long since passed. The atmosphere is a wonderful blend of old and new and the colours of cosy red and sunny yellow add a warmth that goes hand in hand with the welcome. Stampers is open evenings from 6 till late with booking recommended at all times. Bookings can also be taken for lunch for parties of 10 or more.
The fine food on offer is superbly complemented by an interesting selection of wines, hand picked to marry up to the items on the menu perfectly. Although the menu is traditional English, Heather’s creativity calls on many influences from around the globe. The specials board offers a delightful selection of interesting and varied dishes and is ever changing.
